Animals are individually housed. Dogs are individually exercised in indoor runs three times daily. The entire hospital is climate-controlled year round. Water is available to every animal at all times, and animals are fed twice daily with a combination of canned and dry Science Diet. However, special feeding may be arranged and outdoor walks can be given upon request (weather permitting) for additional fees.

Animals taken away from their normal living situations and confined will be stressed to varying degrees. In the vast majority this stress will not cause any problems. However, stress can precipitate directly and indirectly related problems including "sub-surface" diseases such as heart or kidney failure, underlying infections etc. In addition, airborne and indirect contact diseases (i. e. upper respiratory infections, fleas) can be a problem in any hospital or boarding facility regardless of good sanitation. Diet changes can affect some animals as well. The owner assumes all risks when boarding their animal(s).

We reserve the right to examine and treat any animal evidencing a problem, including necessary diagnostics, at the owner's expense. We will attempt to reach the owner if significant problems and/or expense is involved. Always leave a phone number where we might reach you or someone authorized to make any necessary decisions regarding your pet.

Same hours as for admissions, however, we recomemend 1 to 8pm (Saturday and Sunday until 5pm) as this will allow us to clean up your pet if needed. Full baths and nails are done for dogs who have been here for three nights or more. Dogs here less than three nights can request a bath for half price. Should you need to come before 1pm or should your day of return change - please call so we can have your pet ready for you.

Stress, excitement., diet changes and possibly illness or exposure to illness can affect your pet's return home.
We recommend:
  1. Follow all instructions you may be given,
  2. Try not to excite your animal - they are usually excited enough
  3. Feed small amounts more frequently the first day home - same for water if vomiting occurs after drinking large amounts (they sometimes go home and want to drink alot due to excitement)
  4. Keep a close eye on your pet, especially for the first few days home.

If questions or concerns arise please call us.

Bathing is done by reservation. Generally we like animals to be dropped off by 10am, and picked up after 3pm.
We also do some comb-outs/brushing. We do not offer grooming ( the only exception being shave/de-matting on some animals requiring anesthesia, and this is not a professional grooming job, but a basic strip/de-mat). For fees on the above, please call - it varies by type and size of animal. For clips, plucks etc., we suggest a professional grooming parlor.
